Favorite Shots: The Little Things

Sometimes I forget how neat things are. That sounds dumb. Let’s revise.

Sometimes I forget how intricate and special God has made the little details. Look at the little mini flowers in the center of this daisy! The craftsmanship and design of this little flower is better than anything Anthropologie could produce.

The sweet part is that this is just one flower in one garden on this whole earth. I love this picture because it reminds me of this:

“Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith! And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried. For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them. Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you.” Luke 12: 27-31

More like “O me of little faith.” God cares enough to make this short-lived flower beautiful in the little things, but he cares more about me. Enough to make everything come together and make my life beautiful in the little things. Holler.

Here’s to living by faith,

beautiful photo and wonderful sentiments. it is amazing how intricately designed nature is, in this case, the flower – to attract pollinators from all around in order that it may carry on for future generations.

I was recently made aware of the greatness of the mind of the Creator, getting information on “BIOMIMICRY’ If you have time look it up.
The details of the creation are truly mindboggling.

Landed on your blog today after signing in to WordPress to do some work and before I know it had read through many many of your posts. Lovely pics, lovely sounding recipes of which I had more time to peruse (but sshhh, I am at work and not supposed to be looking at your blog). What I like most are your faith comments scattered about – gentle and beautiful. Will bookmark your site for future reading. Happy baking and good luck in your career!
